Top 10 Salons in KL We Love (Part 2)

[As published on HERE]
Last week, we shared Part 1 of our Emmagem’s Top 10 pick of salons. Here’s Part 2 for more options. We’re sure you’ll be able to find your match-made-in-heaven salon!

Best for: Japanese know-how
Japanese beauty trends will never go out of style. If you’ve always dreamed of having hair that looks like it belongs on the pages of your favourite Japanese magazines like ViVi or Mina, you’ll love number76. Many of their resident hairstylists are Japanese, and can easily recreate whatever style or colour that strikes your fancy.
Where: 9 & 10, No. 39-2, Level 2, Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar Baru, 59100 Kuala Lumpur.
A-G-2, Ground Floor, North Point, Mid Valley CIty, No.1 Medan Syed Putra, 59200 Kuala Lumpur.
E-0G-02, Block E, Plaza Mont’ Kiara, 2 Jalan Kiara, Mont’ Kiara, 50480 Kuala Lumpur.

Best for: Quick, no-fuss cuts
ART is Hair Atelier’s more wallet-friendly sister salon, but we prefer it over the other Hair Atelier branches. The creative stylist, Will, is always ready to share his haircare tips. What we like about ART is that the staff is never pushy and doesn’t try to sell you what you don’t need. For usual maintenance and colour, we highly recommend this salon.
Where: Lot 2-K-01, Viva Home Mall, 85, Jalan Loke Yew, Kuala Lumpur.

Best for: Tech-savvy perks
If you’re the type who’s glued to your iPad 24/7, you’ll like A-Saloon. Each station at every A-Saloon branch is equipped with a tablet for your personal use, so you don’t have to fall asleep in your chair while waiting for your hair to be done. They also cater to Muslims with a special reserved area for additional privacy. Thoughtful!
Where: Sunway Pyramid, Empire Shopping Gallery, Fahrenheit 88, IOI Mall, 1 Mont Kiara, Gurney Plaza, Alamanda Mall, Paradigm Mall, Setia City Mall

Best for: The London experience
TONI&GUY has been the pioneer of creative cuts since we-don’t-know-when. When The Belfry at Troika decided to join forces with them, we were surprised but excited to see what changes it would bring. The combination of TONI&GUY’s edgy styles with The Belfry’s founder Matthew Mack’s luxe, old-English know-how is certainly something worth a try. Plus, the salon’s interior is stunning!
Where: Lot G-03A, Ground Floor, The Troika, 19 Persiaran KLCC, 50450 Kuala Lumpur.

Best for: Luxurious treatments
Managed by Centro Salon, Centro Privé is more of a hair spa than a salon per se, but the experience is a total eye-opener. Customers are encouraged to take their time and unwind at the salon, away from prying eyes and loud noises. The Kerastase hair treatments offered are nothing short of luxurious, but definitely worth the splurge.
Where: Lot 401D, 4th Floor, Suria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur.
