Pretty In Pink: All For A Good Cause!

[As published on Emmagem.com HERE]
Did you know that 1 out of 20 women in Malaysia has a risk of getting breast cancer? Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women, and is the second leading cause of death among women (the first being lung cancer).

To be on the safe side, every woman above the age of 18 should go for screening once a year. Screening includes breast self-examinations (which can be done at home), clinical breast examinations (performed by a doctor or healthcare professional) and mammograms. More often than not, early detection of breast cancers occurs during the screening stage, and can be the key to survival. The earlier the cancer is detected, the better chances that treatment will work.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and to commemorate the cause, many beauty brands are working hand in hand with non-governmental organizations to raise funds and create awareness. You can also do your part by purchasing beauty products from brands that support this noble cause. In Malaysia, here’s a selection of goodies to choose from.
