5 Celebrity Beauty Brands You'll Definitely LOVE!

[As published on Emmagem.com HERE]
They’re gorgeous, they have perfect bodies, and they live fairy tale-like lives. As much as we’d love to hate them (just because they’re too perfect), these female celebrities prove that there’s more to life than just appearing on the red carpet or strutting down a glitter-covered runway. Beauties with brains – now that’s sexy!
Miranda Kerr: KORA Organics

Supermodel Miranda Kerr is a firm advocate of organic living, so much so that she decided to start her own line of organic skin and bodycare products. KORA Organics is ECOCERT-certified, and the packaging is recyclable. What’s special about the brand is that each product features a positive word (like joy, empathy, acceptance and compassion) on the bottle, based on the theory of vibrational energy by Dr. Masaru Emoto. It’s believed that positive feelings have the ability to change the molecular structure of an object. The star ingredient in all KORA products is Noni Fruit Extract, which is packed with antioxidants and has incredible healing properties.
Bestseller: Luxurious Rosehip Oil, a rose-scented lightweight oil for the face. It absorbs quickly to leave a soft glow on the skin without weighing it down.

Katie Holmes: Alterna

Not only does she have the cutest daughter in the world, Katie Holmes is also the co-owner and face of premium haircare brand, Alterna. Her natural, no-frills look is popular among real women who know how hard it is to juggle motherhood, work and life at the same time. As co-owner of Alterna, Katie plays a major role in the brand’s future launches, so the next time you purchase an Alterna product, you just might be using something that was designed by Katie Holmes! On why she decided to be a part of the brand, she shares, “I love that Alterna uses natural and organic ingredients and stays away from harsh chemicals. It’s good for my hair and good for the earth.”
Bestseller: Caviar CC Cream, a 10-in-1 leave-in cream that protects hair from elements of the weather, so that it stays healthy and shiny effortlessly.

Josie Maran: Josie Maran
Josie Maran2
Josie Maran discovered the magic of argan oil in Morocco while on a sourcing trip for her then-upcoming cosmetics line. Her discovery in 2001 catapulted her beauty brand to cult status, as her namesake brand was one of the very first to feature argan oil prominently in the products. (Note that this was WAY before argan oil became such a popular ingredient). It paid off well, and the Josie Maran brand has managed to maintain its popularity over the years. I was lucky enough to meet Josie in person at an event a few years back. Unlike many celebrities who endorse a brand but don’t use the products, I found her to be extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the ingredients and the products, and I liked that very much.
Bestseller: Argan Color Stick, a multi-purpose makeup swivel stick that can be used as a blush, all-over colour or lip tint. It contains avocado, mango seed and shea butters to keep skin hydrated.

Drew Barrymore: Flower

After ‘graduating’ from her stint as Covergirl ambassador, flower child Drew Barrymore has now come up with her own cosmetics brand, aptly named Flower. Beauty junkies in the USA (lucky them!) got to experience the fruit of Barrymore’s labour for themselves, where Flower is available at Walmart. The best thing about Flower products is that for the quality you’re getting, the price is actually very reasonable, and the packaging looks ultra-posh (think sleek metallic tubes, and frosted casings, no traces of flimsy white plastic used!). On the website, it says that Drew prefers to channel the money into designing and creating better products, so Flower doesn’t advertise heavily at all.
Bestseller: Lip Service Lip Butter, lip colours with the consistency of a lipbalm, which leave behind a sheer tint and subtle shine.

Michelle Phan: Em Cosmetics
2-MichellePhan
From blogger to celeb beauty guru, Michelle Phan has certainly come a long way. Fame didn’t come without its drawbacks, though – there was a lot of drama going on with her previous skincare line, IQQU, and Netizens were relentlessly flaming her on social media platforms for things she said and did. But she still has a loyal fan base, and last year she made them very happy with the launch of her makeup line, Em Cosmetics (owned by L’Oreal but with creative input from Phan herself). The concept behind the brand is about empowerment, where girls are encouraged to try out different looks with just one palette.
Bestseller: Life Palette, a collection of eyeshadows and lipcolours with magnetic bases, so that you can mix and match your own mini-palettte.
